SkyTablet Solution
SkyTablet is a versatile trolley mounted tablet device with a large screen, which integrates all peripherals such as printer, scanner and MSR, all in a rugged, industrialised case. SkyTablet is one of the platforms for the SkyTrader inflight point-of-sale software.

The SkyTablet solution is the newest product in our range. It is an innovative and multi-purpose hand-held unit, perfect for onboard sales. This unit is designed to facilitate sales as well as having the ability to store information, allowing the provision of information-based services such as timetable information and safety notices.
This product was developed to provide the greatest flexibility in operation and area of application. Keeping the number of keys and buttons to an absolute minimum, the unit combines a high resolution display with a touch screen, allowing different operating concepts to be implemented by software.
The SkyTablet can display complex information and handle complex sales transactions.
Components
The current SkyTablet configuration consists of:

- prints quickly and quietly with easy paper change (just open the lid and insert a new till roll). - Barcode imager
- enables quick product recognition and emits safe light source. - 3500 mAh rechargeable battery

- enables fast acceptance of credit/debit cards via swipe and signature. - Data transfer
- transfers data to and from the aircraft using MT Memory Block, CF card, GPRS, WLAN, BluetoothTM or communication station. - Infrared (IrDA) port
- used for transferring data between devices within the aircraft, e.g. between master and slave units. - Large colour graphics display
- 162.5mm (6.4inch) VGA LCD Colour Graphics Display 640 x 480 Pixels, 18 bit colour TFT technology.
This configuration can be extended to include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth®, thereby enabling wireless networking within the aircraft and wireless data transfer between stationary aircraft and your back office system.
SkyTablet is a ruggedised robust unit that withstands 1 metre drop tests.
